Yes. No premium tier, no credit card, no catch. We make money through optional affiliate links when you book — you pay the same price either way.

Where do the flight prices come from?

Google Flights. We scan prices daily using Google's data and only alert you when a price drops significantly below its typical range.

How do you know it's a flight deal?

Google tracks price history for every route. When a price drops 35%+ below the typical range and is flagged as unusually low, we alert you.

Will I get spammed with notifications?

No. Maximum 2 alerts per week, only for exceptional deals. Most weeks you'll get zero.

No. We collect your airport and optionally your email. No browsing history, no personal data, no selling to third parties.

Who We Are

Flight Alerts is a free Chrome browser extension and email service that monitors flight prices and alerts users when prices drop below historical norms. Our website is flightalerts.app.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to provide the Flight Alerts service: determining which deals to show you, sending email alerts if you opted in, and maintaining your preferences. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than delivering flight deal alerts.

Third Parties

We share the minimum data necessary with these service providers: Resend (email delivery — receives your email if provided), Vercel (hosting — server logs with anonymized IPs), and SerpAPI (flight data — receives nothing about you).

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to anyone.

Some links in our deal alert emails may be affiliate links. If you click these and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate links are always disclosed.

View, change, or delete your data via extension settings
Unsubscribe from emails via any email's unsubscribe link

For EU/UK Users (GDPR)

You have additional rights including access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), portability, objection, and restriction of processing. Our legal basis for processing is legitimate interest (providing the service) and consent (for email). Contact privacy@flightalerts.app to exercise these rights. We respond within 30 days.

For Brazilian Users (LGPD)

Under the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados, you have equivalent rights including confirmation of processing, data access, correction, anonymization, portability, deletion, and revocation of consent. Contact privacy@flightalerts.app.

Data Retention

Active users: Data retained while extension is installed
Uninstalled users: Data deleted within 90 days
Email-only subscribers: Data deleted within 30 days of unsubscribe

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.3). User data is stored in encrypted databases. No passwords are stored. Our infrastructure providers maintain SOC 2 compliance.

Children

Flight Alerts is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices. Material changes will be communicated via the extension or email. The date at the top always reflects the latest version.
